The Opportunity

In 2019, Switzerland announced plans to re-establish a consulate in Chicago, strengthening its presence in a key U.S. market. The office serves as a central hub for Swiss companies operating in the region, connecting teams across both coasts and supporting a significant business community in the greater Chicago area.

How We Delivered

Helios partnered with an international project team to deliver the Consulate General of Switzerland’s Chicago office, managing the interior renovation within a prominent downtown high-rise along Michigan Avenue. Using 3D laser scanning, the team created a shared point of reference that enabled real-time alignment and kept stakeholders coordinated across continents throughout construction.

What Was Built

The project brought together high-end finishes and complex systems, including custom millwork, integrated security infrastructure, a Maars living wall, Italian terrazzo tile, and a precision-controlled HVAC system. The result is a workspace designed to perform reliably while reflecting the identity of the Consulate.
